Arabic text
سُبْحَانَ ٱللَّهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ
Subhanallahi wa bihamdihi
International standard exists and is used in the app
Sübhanəllahi və bihəmdihi ?
No official or standardized version exists
Nobody — not in books, not online — has created a standard way to write Arabic words using Azerbaijani letters. A standard does exist in English, so that's what we use.
Why don't we write our own?
A mistake in religious text leads to wrong pronunciation. That's why we don't add unverified content.
English letters are familiar
The Azerbaijani alphabet is based on Latin letters, so English transcription is readable for most users.
If you have Azerbaijani transcription based on a reliable source, please share it with us. We will verify it and add it to the app.
Please mention the source of the transcription you send. Transcription without a cited source cannot be accepted.
